WABC - Upcoming Event in Swansea, UK--NOV 27-2018

Dr Annette Fillery-Travis (Head of the Wales Institute for Work Based Learning) extends a warm invitation to WABC members to our inaugural conference on Coaching and Mentoring in the Workplace. As part of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, we have a strong background in training coaches and mentors for the workplace and we invite buyers of coaching, practitioners, Masters/ Doctoral researchers and our alumni to share best practice and research in the field.

Keynotes from Prof Stephen Palmer (Professor of Practice, WIWBL) and Dr Peggy Marshall (Nationwide, US) will explore current issue in enhancing performance and wellbeing in the workplace. Other speakers are drawn from education Prof Kay Livingston (University of Glasgow), the third sector Wynford Ellis Owen (Living Room Cardiff), professional bodies Stuart Haden (CIPD Wales), and significant practitioner/researchers in the field Dr Siobhain O'Riordan (Centre for Coaching UK), Dr Daniel Doherty (Critical Coaching Research Group) and Dr Peter Jackson (Oxford Brookes). There will also be the chance to hear about the most recent research on Neuroscience and its impact on coaching practice from Doctoral candidate Deni Lyall.

This conference will also launch the WIWBL Coaching Society, a cross-UK hub for coaching research and practice development and attendees will be offered free associate membership for the first year. If you would like to directly contribute there is still the opportunity to contribute a poster by submitting an abstract of your presentation through our webpage by the extended deadline of 31st October 2018.
